CM-25d portable spectrophotometer
Konica Minolta CM-25d Spectrophotometer Built With d:8° Geometry And Horizontal Alignment
The CM-25d spectrophotometer is a color measurement instrument commonly used in industries such as textiles, plastics, paint and coatings, and printing. It is manufactured by Konica Minolta Sensing, Inc.
The CM-25d spectrophotometer is the successor to CM-2500d built with single aperture MAV capable to deliver both measurement data including (SCI) and excluding (SCE) surface condition simultaneously at ultra-high speed. The symmetrical and compact design, allows measurement of hard-to-reach areas like vehicle interior.
The CM-25d measures color by analyzing the spectral reflectance or transmittance of an object, which refers to the amount of light that is reflected or transmitted at each wavelength. The instrument can measure a wide range of color spaces including CIE Lab*, CIE LCh, CIE XYZ, and Yxy.
The CM-25d features an 8mm aperture size and offers three measurement modes: SCI (specular component included), SCE (specular component excluded), and simultaneous SCI/SCE. It also has a built-in white calibration plate for easy calibration, and can be connected to a computer or printer for data management and reporting.
CM-25d spectrophotometer were developed to true “Digital Color Data Management” to help minimize the need of physical samples within a supply chain. With tight inter-instrument agreement levels of ∆E*ab< 0.2 and high repeatability of σ∆E*ab 0.04 the CM-25d ensures measurement data communicated within a supply chain remain consistent.
It has a viewing observation port allows perfect sample positioning for measurements and the large color LCD display shows measurement data either numerically or graphically.
The CM-25d comes with the Configuration Tool CM-CT1 software (standard accessory) that allows user to not only create/write instrument settings, but also compiling it into a file and share it within its supply chain.
Overall, the CM-25d is a versatile and reliable spectrophotometer that is widely used in color quality control and color matching applications.
